What is IMEI tracking in retail inventory?
IMEI inventory tracking means keeping each phone’s record against its device identifier. A quantity tells you how many units you have; a per-unit record tells you which devices are on the shelf, what each cost and which one was sold.

What a per-unit record holds
Record the identifier and condition at intake, connect the device to its sale and receipt, and check that identifier when a customer returns it. Suite tracks phones by IMEI and other devices by serial number.
What it is not
This is inventory record-keeping, not a way to locate a lost phone. Begin with an accurate physical stock count and verify identifiers before importing records.
